It was a difficult week here at Blazing Trails Farm with the unexpected passing of Brutus, my six month old Mille Fleur Serama cockerel. He had a special place in my heart I am thankful for the time I had to appreciate his beauty, confidence and spunk while he was here. He was a joy to photograph and I have chosen to celebrate his life by continuing to share his larger-than-life personality through them. RIP little buddy.
This is how Brutus would have wanted to be remembered. ☺ I know Brutus would have been thrilled to know that his necropsy report noted his “well developed testicles.” Atta boy, Brutus.

Looks like the chick we watched hatching is doing well! I just love the pic you posted of the two babies and Freida.
I'm still missing that Spunky little guy too. It did make me happy to see that you got more eggs from his mom & dad (which were adorable, by the way). I know you can't replace him, but you can raise his siblings in his honor.
