I would love to win this, I hate using heat lamps, especially in the house! I was so glad when our Bobwhites were old enough to go without a heat lamp a couple months ago!

I so want to be able to provide a safer home for my next batch of chicks. I got my first birds in May of 2014, and now I’m eyeing a chicken tractor at the co-op down the street, planning on getting a straight run of birds so I can add a couple to my freezer, and have two prospective buyers for my extra eggs already, just through word-of-mouth/random. :)

I will be new to raising chickens. Can’t wait to get started! Have been doing a lot of reading about how to keep the chicks healthy and happy. This brooder would be a great start for me and my new flock.
