These brothers are Marans- mom is a Wheaten Marans & dad, Blaze, is a Black Copper  Marans
Brutus (Mille Fleur Serama) and Lyla (Icelandic) have an affinity for our Burning Bush shrubs on the property line.
My peeps are never far from my thoughts, even on vacation.
Rachel (Bantam Cochin Frizzle) looking very Cochin-ish in this photo. She usually looks more…Sea Urchin-shaped.
I have a coop full of broodies as the temperatures are at their highest this summer. This Buff Orpington did not appreciate the paparazzi.
For the first time ever, I set up a live-stream from the backyard to share my view with you. If you missed it live, you can still catch the live recording, here.
Blaze (Black Copper Marans rooster) is doing much better since his hospitalization. He is back in the flock,
his crow has returned in full force & he’s working on putting weight back on and opening his left eye all the way. ♥
Ariel (Black Copper Marans hen)
My little one, helping collect eggs. The green eggs are from my Olive Eggers & the brown is from my Black Copper Marans hen.
Irene (Welsummer)
My coop flower box is filling in nicely.
Penny is an Olive Egger.
Ally McBeak (Tolbunt Polish Frizzle)
Calista Flockheart (Tolbunt Polish Frizzle)

I love love your backyard – My farmer hubby just does not see the need in "making it pretty" but he does help me take care of my chickens and i guess that is what is most important. But I am so jealous of your coop! Glad that Blaze is better

I love seeing all of your chickens. We have mostly Rhode Island Reds, but there are a few other types as well. Our son uses PVC piping that has been cut in 2 for feeders (he has over a hundred chickens and sells their eggs), but it's easy for the grain to spill on the ground and be wasted. This type of feeder looks interesting. Thanks for offering it to us.

Love the feeder but I definitely would need to buy the "RAIN HAT". We've had soooo much rain here in central NC!
