The long holiday weekend started with rain, which was welcome as last week’s heat was beginning to take a toll on everyone, including Doc Brown’s “hair.” But the rest of the week was amazingly beautiful, which provided ample opportunity to enjoy, admire and photograph both my chickens and a variety of flowers in the yard. Oh boy, mealworms!
Yummy! I had planted a flower bed this year for my chickens. I looked up what was safe for them. And actually my daughter planted the seeds but I have been watering them, its her garden. I figured nice snack and they would be beautiful. Well I sure did learn a lesson. I love morning glorys and wanted some in there. OOOOPPPPPPPSSSSS! They have swallowed up my flowers. Now I cant even take the fence down to let the chickens in at the flowers bc the morning glorys have wrapped themselves around the fence. My husband wont let me cut… Read more »
