As you can tell, it has been snowy and cold since the last Flock Focus Friday. The chickens and I have had enough! The weather-dude tells us that it’s going to warm up into the 40s this week, so you know what that means…let the flood gates open! <ugh> I’ve got a plan to make a floating bridge out of pallets, so at least the chickens have the opportunity to stay dry even if they don’t avail themselves of the life-raft. Please enjoy the photos from the week- the color theme is black and white-like it or not, that’s what Mother Nature was serving up!

If I had an incubator I would to hatch some of my buff silkie’s eggs fertilized by our Lavendar Orpington roo. He has somewhat silkie feathers and we would like to see how their progeny would turn out. Our silkie avoids him too well for about a month before she goes broody so we can’t get her to sit them. :/
I could probably put Japanese Bantams or Cochin eggs in that cute incubator!
Thank you, Chelsea. ♥
This would be great for the classroom education program I do. My big incubators are not portable.
Just read your update on the awful legal battle you were fighting as I caught up on your posts! I’m so elated you were able to get the justice you deserved!! !! Even if that little man wasn’t big enough to mean his “thank you,” you’ve gained followers because of it and made it into something positive. You continue to grow and succeed while he is forced to live with himself and his failures. Couldn’t think of a better or more deserving ending.
