As you can tell, it has been snowy and cold since the last Flock Focus Friday. The chickens and I have had enough! The weather-dude tells us that it’s going to warm up into the 40s this week, so you know what that means…let the flood gates open! <ugh> I’ve got a plan to make a floating bridge out of pallets, so at least the chickens have the opportunity to stay dry even if they don’t avail themselves of the life-raft. I thought I commented on this one, but can’t find my name. So, here I go again. milo is such a cutie! We have a Yorkie, Atticus. We love him so much and he and Polly, our Cavalier King Charles/Border Terrier cross are best friends. Atticus has a strong prey drive and isn’t allowed around chicks. Just this month we discovered that now that our bigger girls are the same size or a couple are bigger. He is afraid of them and leave them alone. Just got quails for the first time last year and tried giving the eggs to my silkie but to no avail. Would love an incubator!!
