We hatched 2 different groups of chicks last spring…….lots of new chicks for our flock. We did it with a homemade incubator and our brooder was a light hanging over a cage….so it couldn’t fall on the chicks. We had the red bulb. All of this, was thanks to learning from your blog. The children had the best time participating in this. Our new hens have just started to lay eggs for us! It is very exciting. We ended up with 2 new roosters. What fun…….and work….it was.
