It was a difficult week here at Blazing Trails Farm with the unexpected passing of Brutus, my six month old Mille Fleur Serama cockerel. He had a special place in my heart I am thankful for the time I had to appreciate his beauty, confidence and spunk while he was here. He was a joy to photograph and I have chosen to celebrate his life by continuing to share his larger-than-life personality through them. RIP little buddy.
This is how Brutus would have wanted to be remembered. ☺ I know Brutus would have been thrilled to know that his necropsy report noted his “well developed testicles.” Atta boy, Brutus.

Some vets that have been consulted think he could have been.
Thank you, Richard.
Waiting on final results – I'm curious as much as vested. I would love, love, love to win the Vetericyn prize package!
I am so very sorry about Brutus! I am very happy to have discovered your blog and to see others care about their chickens so much xx I am new to chickens, this year, and already lost a hen to being eggbound, and was devastated.. nice to find a kindred soul xxx
My wife and I are very sorry for your loss as we have two roosters and understand how they become family so quickly. All the best to you and your flock.
