These brothers are Marans- mom is a Wheaten Marans & dad, Blaze, is a Black Copper  Marans
Brutus (Mille Fleur Serama) and Lyla (Icelandic) have an affinity for our Burning Bush shrubs on the property line.
My peeps are never far from my thoughts, even on vacation.
Rachel (Bantam Cochin Frizzle) looking very Cochin-ish in this photo. She usually looks more…Sea Urchin-shaped.
I have a coop full of broodies as the temperatures are at their highest this summer. This Buff Orpington did not appreciate the paparazzi.
For the first time ever, I set up a live-stream from the backyard to share my view with you. If you missed it live, you can still catch the live recording, here.
Blaze (Black Copper Marans rooster) is doing much better since his hospitalization. He is back in the flock,
his crow has returned in full force & he’s working on putting weight back on and opening his left eye all the way. ♥
Ariel (Black Copper Marans hen)
My little one, helping collect eggs. The green eggs are from my Olive Eggers & the brown is from my Black Copper Marans hen.
Irene (Welsummer)
My coop flower box is filling in nicely.
Penny is an Olive Egger.
Ally McBeak (Tolbunt Polish Frizzle)
Calista Flockheart (Tolbunt Polish Frizzle)

This new feeder design looks helpful. My adolescent girls love to throw their food everywhere! Thankful I've found your blog, your posts are a great help for us chick-newbies :)

I LOVE your bolg. I learn so much from it. I haven't seen a feeder here in Alabama like this one. I would love to have one though. I am glad to see that Blaze is up and back to his old self again. Thanks for all your info and great ideas…Keep it up……..Have a great day.
