Freida went broody this week, so I set her up in the maternity ward. I put the eggs in the makeshift nest box for her and she literally wasted no time thinking about it and walked right in immediately to keep them warm! Best broody mom ever.

It can, but you'll need to be vigilant about monitoring the moisture level so the deep litter method works as intended.
