The flock hasn’t been the same since our fearless leader Blaze passed away. The preliminary necropsy report ruled out trauma as a cause of death, so we know for certain that none of the other roosters were to blame for his untimely departure. An enlarged spleen was the only abnormal finding in the post mortem exam, but the results from the tissue samples offered no definitive cause for the enlarged spleen.

Would love this feeder!
Thank you Tamara.
How awful. What a terrible discovery to come home to. I’m sorry for your loss too. :(
Grandpa’s feeders look wonderful! It would be nice to keep the mice away too.
I miss my little Bantam Rooster but the city will not allow roosters. My year old hens are in setting mode and I finally gave up and am allowing two determined girls to set on fertile eggs from another friends flock. Now my girls are known as the surrogates. I hope I win that wonderful feeder though I wonder if my little Bantams will weigh enough to open it to get the feed.
