As you can tell, it has been snowy and cold since the last Flock Focus Friday. The chickens and I have had enough! The weather-dude tells us that it’s going to warm up into the 40s this week, so you know what that means…let the flood gates open! <ugh> I’ve got a plan to make a floating bridge out of pallets, so at least the chickens have the opportunity to stay dry even if they don’t avail themselves of the life-raft. Please enjoy the photos from the week- the color theme is black and white-like it or not, that’s what Mother Nature was serving up!

I know what you mean about flood gates lol East TN has had some nasty winter weather lately and with the melting snow and ice its so muddy and gross! I can’t wait to dry out, at least enough for the ground to not be so soggy! I’m excited for Spring to hit… I’d SO love to incubate some eggs from my flock. It just isn’t Spring without some ducklings and chicks hanging around :)
I would LOVE to win this incubator – we need more chicks and soon. I can’t recommend your page enough – and it’s so helpful whenever I have a question about my hens (and one tiny rooster). We recently sent home 8 eggs with an east coast visitor – she popped them into her hovabator and only one hatched. I think our little Mille Fleur Roo is just a tad immature but he’s getting more “manly” every day – she will try again with eggs I will ship to her.
What great pictures and a great giveaway!
Borrow an incubator and hate it. Wld love one of my very own.
