As you can tell, it has been snowy and cold since the last Flock Focus Friday. The chickens and I have had enough! The weather-dude tells us that it’s going to warm up into the 40s this week, so you know what that means…let the flood gates open! <ugh> I’ve got a plan to make a floating bridge out of pallets, so at least the chickens have the opportunity to stay dry even if they don’t avail themselves of the life-raft. Please enjoy the photos from the week- the color theme is black and white-like it or not, that’s what Mother Nature was serving up!

Yikes this gets complicated if you already are a subscriber. AnyHooo..I have some lovely Blue Lace Wyndottes that I would like to hatch out some more eggs from. Especially from 2 specific hens a 1 of the roosters with a nice Temperment, lovely lacing, and some nice bluing on him. Tho I know it does not breed true 100 % there should be some more nice blues!
I have an old styrofoam incubator. I was not successful at all when I tried to hatch some silkie eggs. Would love a good incubator.
I would looove to win this! By the way, Milo is so cute!!!
I’ve been wanting to do this with our 11 year old…he wants to be an “animal scientist” when he grows up!
I love the coffee pictures. I’m more of a Dr. Pepper gal, but my oldest son loves his coffee.
My 6 & 10 year olds have been begging to hatch some chickens. This incubator would be perfect to get us started!
