Spring struggled mightily to arrive as scheduled this week, but more of winter’s freezing temperatures over-stayed their welcome. There is light at the end of the tunnel though as we look forward to temps in the 50s this coming week.

Flock Focus Friday 3/27/14 with a Farm Innovators Nest Box GIVEAWAY!
I have to believe that drinking the snow melt is my flock’s idea of helping erase The Eternal Winter.
Spartacus. Open arms for Blaze’s welcome back to the flock after his protracted stay in the infirmary?
Blaze. Hugs for Spartacus?
Blaze and Spartacus squared off.
Not so much.

Karman's just sharpening her nails and finishing her drink She said she'll be with you shortly.
Seriously?
I will be amused AFTER my coffee.
You call it Thursday, I call it Friday Eve.
Coffee- Because prison orange is not my color.
It might not kill me to skip coffee this morning...but I'm not willing to risk it.
Heads or tails? You make the call.
The first five days after the weekend are always the hardest.
They said I could be anything...so I became a cotton ball.
I'm sorry you had to see me before my morning coffee.
COFFEE: Better living through massive caffeine consumption.
Yah baby...it's FRIDAY!
Coffee cannot fix this kind of tired.

HAHAHA! Another round of great pics and captions! AND good information on keeping chickens! We succumbed to "chick fever" today and ended up with 8 'red pullets' from our local grain store. They needed to get them gone and had marked them down to a "we can't pass that up" price. I know, not the best reason to get chicks, but we were probably going to get more this year anyway. Just happened to be like this. They are doing great!

The waterer is very clever! That would certainly keep my girls' water clean!

Love your photos! My babies had their first day in grass today and it was a blast to watch! They told me they think they are ready to graduate to a big girl waterer now too!
