This week in a word? Cold. Don’t let the super sunny photos from the beginning of the week fool you- we endured the coldest temperatures of the year in Connecticut this week and are looking forward to a warm up any time now!

Thanks to Kathys link to the Brinsea website I saved a nice $26.00 by using TheChickenChick in checkout for a Mini Auto Incubator and a Ecoglow20 Brooder. Then I ordered my eggs from Chicken Scratch Poultry.com. I have 3 Chocolate Orpingtons, 2 French Black Copper Marans and 2 Blue Ameraucaunas coming in February. This hatchery carried all 3 of the birds I was looking for and is NPIP approved. Looking forward to setting my eggs. Thank you Kathy for the information and the discount. If I win I will make it a present to someone else.
