The Olive Egger in the nest box on the right has been broody for nearly two weeks. When the eggs in the incubator hatch, I’ll slip them underneath her to raise.
Christmas morning breakfast consisted of steel cut and regular oatmeal with blueberries, apples and bananas. I put out several loaf pans so that there was no bickering and nobody left out.

This is my first winter with chickens and I'm seeing how bored they get. It's tricky for me to come up with fun, but safe ideas to keep them occupied!
I have not tried these yet. I am sure the girls would love them!
I have a basket from the bird seed blocks that I want to hang for the chickens but need to know what to put in it.

My girls get sooooo excited when they see me walking out to'em. Ma'ma always has treats.
