From a chicken photography perspective, this week hasn’t been ideal, but we did see the sun briefly and I took advantage of it whenever possible. In between sub-zero temperatures and temps in the mid 50s, there was flooding, mud and general discontent. We’re all looking forward to the end of winter and brighter days ahead!
The middle of the week featured a warm-up and flooding like we’ve never seen before. It was decidedly a drag as I bailed out the basement as well as the chicken runs.

I need this feeder! But like you, I didn't need water in the basement this week. The only good thing about the frigid cold snap, was that the water stopped running thru the basement!

Your little Serama duo don't even look real. They're like little chicken dolls. LOVE THEM!
Last summer I had no issues with wildbirds in the run but already this spring the little birdies have found the feed and the chickens are now "sharing" their food with a million dinner guests.
I am very grateful that I no longer live in the Northern regions. I enjoy not having the Spring thaw.
