When one of my hens, Penny, went broody a friend gave me fertilized eggs for her to sit on. I was so excited, but none hatched. This would be put to such good use!
I have wanted to hatch chick's for years, but never got my act together. Good luck with your fight to keep your flock. I cannot imagine why they are complaining. Your property looks amazing and beautiful. Wishing us both luck.
