It was a difficult week here at Blazing Trails Farm with the unexpected passing of Brutus, my six month old Mille Fleur Serama cockerel. He had a special place in my heart I am thankful for the time I had to appreciate his beauty, confidence and spunk while he was here. He was a joy to photograph and I have chosen to celebrate his life by continuing to share his larger-than-life personality through them. RIP little buddy.
This is how Brutus would have wanted to be remembered. ☺ I know Brutus would have been thrilled to know that his necropsy report noted his “well developed testicles.” Atta boy, Brutus.

I am so sorry for your loss. He was a beautiful rooster.
Gorgeous photos. He was so amazingly beautiful.
As much as I'd hate to think that he had something wrong with him, I really hope that the cause of the hemorrhages was biological rather than that this was done to him.
Again, I'm so sorry for your loss.
It sounds as if Blaze has has a tad of poison. The hemorrage is suspect. Blood thinners like rat poison could do the trick or even a human coumadin tablet.
Heartbreaking about little Brutus. The story of his life was full of love. He was a lucky little guy to have a Mom like you.
I would like to try to win the Herbal Package. That is something that will last forever. And everytime I use it or make more of it, I will remember this little guy. He was my first Mille Fleur Serama to meet. I will miss you also, little friend.
So sorry about the loss of your beloved Brutus. He was beautiful and evidently well endowed. :-)
