It was a difficult week here at Blazing Trails Farm with the unexpected passing of Brutus, my six month old Mille Fleur Serama cockerel. He had a special place in my heart I am thankful for the time I had to appreciate his beauty, confidence and spunk while he was here. He was a joy to photograph and I have chosen to celebrate his life by continuing to share his larger-than-life personality through them. RIP little buddy.
This is how Brutus would have wanted to be remembered. ☺ I know Brutus would have been thrilled to know that his necropsy report noted his “well developed testicles.” Atta boy, Brutus.

Sorry to hear about Brutus. Thanks for all your hard work informing and entertaining us. God bless you.
Brutus was gorgeous. I loved his imitations as a weather vane. RIP Brutus.
Wow, in the midst of loss you are still kind enough to bless others. This would be a great win, my flock is growing I am in the midst of hatching 17 eggs, 7 of which are here, and by the end of next week a sweet friend is giving me her flock of 15 layers. She is feeling overwhelmed with daily life and needs them rehomed and thought of me!! God bless you as you bless and educate others!
I am sorry for your loss I know you will miss the music in the morning
I've learned a lot from your blogs! You have helped us be better prepared as new chicken owners (lovers) Thanks for sharing Brutus!
