It was a difficult week here at Blazing Trails Farm with the unexpected passing of Brutus, my six month old Mille Fleur Serama cockerel. He had a special place in my heart I am thankful for the time I had to appreciate his beauty, confidence and spunk while he was here. He was a joy to photograph and I have chosen to celebrate his life by continuing to share his larger-than-life personality through them. RIP little buddy.
This is how Brutus would have wanted to be remembered. ☺ I know Brutus would have been thrilled to know that his necropsy report noted his “well developed testicles.” Atta boy, Brutus.

Absolutely heartbreaking. I am so sorry for your loss :(
Bought my daughter some porcelain bantam chicks today. She's so excited to start her own little group of chickens
Sorry for your loss.
He was a wonderful bird – did the Dr. say what may have cause the hemoraging?
So sorry about Brutus, I know how heartbreaking it is to lose any of our little friends. He was a beautiful rooster with a great personality and I'll miss photos of him. Sure hope it wasn't your neighbors doing.
