It was a difficult week here at Blazing Trails Farm with the unexpected passing of Brutus, my six month old Mille Fleur Serama cockerel. He had a special place in my heart I am thankful for the time I had to appreciate his beauty, confidence and spunk while he was here. He was a joy to photograph and I have chosen to celebrate his life by continuing to share his larger-than-life personality through them. RIP little buddy.
This is how Brutus would have wanted to be remembered. ☺ I know Brutus would have been thrilled to know that his necropsy report noted his “well developed testicles.” Atta boy, Brutus.

Anything that's good for their boo boo's is great! I wish they never got any boo boo's, but…
not sure if I entered this contest, so please forgive me if this is a duplicate.
I'm so very sorry about Brutus. It's so hard to loose an animal that you really care about. I love your blog and have learned a lot. Thank you for always having the give-a-ways. Feel better!
We am so sorry to hear that Brutus passed. :'( Brutus was a very handsome young Rooster. His larger-than-life personality and charm were conveyed so amazingly well, in his photos, videos, and mere presence. You have compiled such a lovely tribute to him. His mortal existence may have been short, but he captivated the hearts of so many of us, simply by his presence. Brutus, we hope that your passing was without pain, and that now you are with your own celestial flock of beautiful pullets. <3
Kathy – I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't tell from the Necropsy report – do you think he was poisoned? Great giveaway, btw. I'm subscribed through email.
