It was a difficult week here at Blazing Trails Farm with the unexpected passing of Brutus, my six month old Mille Fleur Serama cockerel. He had a special place in my heart I am thankful for the time I had to appreciate his beauty, confidence and spunk while he was here. He was a joy to photograph and I have chosen to celebrate his life by continuing to share his larger-than-life personality through them. RIP little buddy.
This is how Brutus would have wanted to be remembered. ☺ I know Brutus would have been thrilled to know that his necropsy report noted his “well developed testicles.” Atta boy, Brutus.

Wow Kathy …Leaves a big lump in my throat , he was very Beautiful !!…Brutus will be missed for sure….
Poor Brutus! He was such a beauty :) Thanks for sharing the preliminary findings, Kathy. That coop pest control looks nice!
So sad for him I am going to miss the little fellow. But maybe all his trying to breed he made it. Fingers crossed. And to know know one did anything to him. So glad. Praying for some little ones soon. Rip Little Prince (king) He made some of the most beautiful pictures, and poses.
I am so sorry about Brutus. He was a very handsome boy!
I am so sorry. Looks like he was quite a character. I love the way that the feathers on his front made him look like he was holding a towel around himself. As if he'd just got out of the bath to crow!
