It was a difficult week here at Blazing Trails Farm with the unexpected passing of Brutus, my six month old Mille Fleur Serama cockerel. He had a special place in my heart I am thankful for the time I had to appreciate his beauty, confidence and spunk while he was here. He was a joy to photograph and I have chosen to celebrate his life by continuing to share his larger-than-life personality through them. RIP little buddy.
This is how Brutus would have wanted to be remembered. ☺ I know Brutus would have been thrilled to know that his necropsy report noted his “well developed testicles.” Atta boy, Brutus.

So sorry to hear of your flock loss.
I thought the comment about the testicles was funny as well. I am shocked by Brutus' passing and the results from the test are surprising. I guess we just never know…he appeared healthy. I thank you for sharing all with us…we learn so much from you and your trials and tribulations.
Please enter me in the drawing. The pictures of Brutus are so good. He was a beautiful creature! I love his crow too!
I am so sorry to hear about Brutus :( He was the most handsome rooster I think I've ever seen. All your photos of him are breathtaking – thank you for sharing them with us! I know how hard it is to lose a beloved animal, so you will be in my thoughts.
Brutus will ALWAYS remain a superstar. So many wonderful photos …
