The long holiday weekend started with rain, which was welcome as last week’s heat was beginning to take a toll on everyone, including Doc Brown’s “hair.” But the rest of the week was amazingly beautiful, which provided ample opportunity to enjoy, admire and photograph both my chickens and a variety of flowers in the yard. I hope you enjoy these snapshots of the past week in my backyard!

My chicks train with mealworms which can maybe get them out of flowers !
If my chickens could read, they would all be squawking for me to enter this contest!!
love getting your emails, they've been so great and helpful. Thank you so much!
The chickens are beautiful, the flowers are nice too. The talk of rain, sounds like heaven. The coffee sounds wonderful, anytime of day or night. The dried metalwork, sounds like it would be great for the chickens, but I'd have to hide it from my grandkids, because they try to hand feed every animal in their vicinity. They believe if it is good for one, it's good for all.
My chickens would love this!
