The long holiday weekend started with rain, which was welcome as last week’s heat was beginning to take a toll on everyone, including Doc Brown’s “hair.” But the rest of the week was amazingly beautiful, which provided ample opportunity to enjoy, admire and photograph both my chickens and a variety of flowers in the yard. I hope you enjoy these snapshots of the past week in my backyard!

Hope To win YumYum…
My girls and turkeys would love them
I can only imagine the delighted buk-ock-ock-ocks I would hear if the ladies win a bag of mealworms… They LOVE them!
My chickens and ducks love them! We just krinkle the bag and they all come running.
Beautiful pics as always Kathy. I haven't bought meal worms in awhile (they haven't been on sale!) Also, my husband eats 3 eggs a day, but only one of the yolks. Every few days I scramble the leftover yolks and feed them to the girls. I don't want to give them too much protein so I've been holding off on the worms as well. All things in moderation! But they would be nice!
