The long holiday weekend started with rain, which was welcome as last week’s heat was beginning to take a toll on everyone, including Doc Brown’s “hair.” But the rest of the week was amazingly beautiful, which provided ample opportunity to enjoy, admire and photograph both my chickens and a variety of flowers in the yard. I hope you enjoy these snapshots of the past week in my backyard!

My girls would love to win these.
Count me in!
My flock goes wild for these, plus they're healthy AND A LOT LESS WORK FOR ME THAN DIGGING WITH MY GIRLS IN THE. COMPOST PILE!!!!
Your pictures are beautiful and very inspiring to me. And I'm sure my flock would love to try these. I've bought them a couple of bags of chicken snacks that they've loved and they're enjoying their daily frozen strawberries SO MUCH! Is there such a thing as TOO MUCH frozen strawberries? I am able to get them from work every day so I've been throwing them in the freezer and give them a few almost every afternoon.
I'm really enjoying my growing pullets and learning a lot from the is site. Thanks.
