Hi Dee I have fourteen hens of all different breeds my suggestion would be to look for the calmer breeds and ones that would offer the best egg production when you start getting eggs you will never buy store bought, they are that good.Look also to Kathy I have followed her from day one she hasn’t steered me wrong yet She is my go to person for chicken raising.
