This week alternated between rainy and sunny, which has been great for the flowers and for the puddle drinkers in the flock. I have been busy offline chatting with two new sponsors that I’ll be introducing to you soon- I know you’re going to be excited about their products!

Freida went broody this week, so I set her up in the maternity ward. I put the eggs in the makeshift nest box for her and she literally wasted no time thinking about it and walked right in immediately to keep them warm! Best broody mom ever.

Blaze (Black Copper Marans) & Rachel, (Bantam Cochin Frizzle) the Royal Couple.

Calista Flockheart (Tolbunt Polish Frizzle) continues her snail-paced molt, but she is making progress, so hopefully she’ll be back to supermodel form before summer is over.

My P. Allen Smithlings are getting ginormous! These two are a Dorkings pair. Can you tell which one is the cockerel? Besides the fact that he’s sleeping in the middle of a crowd, if you read my article on sexing chickens this week, you’ll notice some obvious physical features that distinguish him from her.

Thanks for visiting and have a great week!

I was just doing some research on this stuff, and found a local dealer! Would love to win and get to try it out before making a trip to the dealer! Its so hard to keep our Florida chicken coop dry! It's so humid with our afternoon thunderstorms everyday!

As a new "chicken-chick" reader – I absolutely love Koop Clean. We live in a very humid climate and it keeps the coop fresh and dry – aromatic :)
I called my local Valley Ag and they were more than happy to carry on :)
