The circle of life played out in the backyard this week and while we welcomed new flock members, we said goodbye to Spartacus who crossed the rainbow bridge. RIP pretty boy.

I'm sorry about Spartacus! We had a change in the pecking order this week with our roosters. I feel bad for Sam; he's no longer at the top, and he's pretty beat up. However, his behavior towards the hens, the other roos, and especially the 2-leg flock members (ME!) is much improved. Hopefully his attitude remains after the cuts and bruises fade!
