This week’s Flock Focus Friday is heavy on fluffy cuteness as we hatched the eggs from P. Allen Smith’s flock and welcomed the chicks into ours!

Spring brings ushers in change and new flock members as we say goodbye to Spartacus.
Spartacus was a Serama x Red Sex Link rooster.

The circle of life played out in the backyard this week and while we welcomed new flock members, we said goodbye to Spartacus who crossed the rainbow bridge. RIP pretty boy.

My hubby made one similar to this. We need another one with the addition of our new babies.

I'm desperately looking for a solution to watering the chickens to keep the rats out of their water. I would love to win this!

So sorry about Spartacus, I'm definitely falling for my chicken family. Don't know how I will handle loosing any of them. For a farm girl you would think I wouldn't struggle so much with that.

I enjoy your blog and site. I have been raising chickens for a few years now and I am still learning. You have very good information and access to other sites. I could really use a waterier for the chickens. I worry when it gets dirty. Crossing my fingers.
