The flock hasn’t been the same since our fearless leader Blaze passed away. The preliminary necropsy report ruled out trauma as a cause of death, so we know for certain that none of the other roosters were to blame for his untimely departure. An enlarged spleen was the only abnormal finding in the post mortem exam, but the results from the tissue samples offered no definitive cause for the enlarged spleen.

My heart goes out to you, Rachel, and your flock, Chicken Chick!! So sorry to hear about Blaze. :( Hopefully he’s happily crowing in Hen Heaven! :)
This would be great in our grazing area..sorry for the loss of your beloved Blaze!
Awesome giveaway!
So sorry to hear the sad news about Blaze:( He was a beautiful little guy. On a happier note, I’m doubling my little flock this Spring & a Granpa’s Feeder would be an awesome addition to my coop. I’m currently using your PVC/corner litter pan prototype & it has worked great! But more chickens means more feed stations:) Thank you for sharing all your experience to help me do this chicken thing right! We’re having a blast with our girls!
This would be perfect for my new flock
