Throughout March and April, I had the privilege of travelling to Tractor Supply Stores in Connecticut and Massachusetts during Chick Days to chat chickens & meet fellow chickeneers! I love my job! I was in the Tractor Supply stores around the same time as you and I missed your presentation. After reading your blog about babies and feed, I wasn’t able to find 20% protein AND medicated feed at Tractor Supply, it was only available with 18%, but I did find exactly what I needed at Blue Seal Feed in Torrington where we also picked up our new baby chicks April 15th. I really enjoy my chickens. they call me the crazy chicken lady at work.
Its my 2nd year raising these beautiful lil’ velociraptors (aka my sweet hens)! I started with 6 chicks last year. I loved them so much I bought 10 more chicks this spring. I also got a 10mo old gorgeous Black Copper Marans that is the most incredible bird. She even laid a spectacular dark brown egg in her crate on the way home!!! Love your blog and these awesome creatures!!!!! Thanks chicken chick!!!!
