As you can tell, it has been snowy and cold since the last Flock Focus Friday. The chickens and I have had enough! The weather-dude tells us that it’s going to warm up into the 40s this week, so you know what that means…let the flood gates open! <ugh> I’ve got a plan to make a floating bridge out of pallets, so at least the chickens have the opportunity to stay dry even if they don’t avail themselves of the life-raft. Beautiful photos of your chickens in snow. Is it really that snowy still where you live? Wow! I’m using a borrowed Brinsea incubator right now for a clutch of Jersey Buff turkey eggs. Tomorrow (day 10) we’ll candle. The USPS did not take very good care of our egg package. About 1/3 were cracked when we took them out of the box. :( No broken membraines though, so we sealed up the cracks with candle wax. Now we hope for the best.
