Spring struggled mightily to arrive as scheduled this week, but more of winter’s freezing temperatures over-stayed their welcome. There is light at the end of the tunnel though as we look forward to temps in the 50s this coming week.

I could always use new nest box—got a buff that would really like it placed close to the floor so she can brood some babies!
Our hen just laid her first egg today!!!!!!! I'm SO elated! She's almost a year old so we thought she was sterile. Nope!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!
Looks sweet.. and I have not even started my coop yet…waiting for warmer weather yet.. I have until end of may to complete one.. would be nice to win one of these for an Er room or broody hen room to complete her job. :)
