Spring struggled mightily to arrive as scheduled this week, but more of winter’s freezing temperatures over-stayed their welcome. There is light at the end of the tunnel though as we look forward to temps in the 50s this coming week.

I have to believe that drinking the snow melt is my flock’s idea of helping erase The Eternal Winter.

Our local tractor supply carries the nipples now. Would be nice to win some. Getting them from tractor supply is the back up plan.

I absolutely LOVE this blog, because no-one else understands my passion for chickens…they think I'm nuts! It's informative too, and, gee I haven't seen anyone else painting hens nails for fun!!! Ha! Ha!

Would LOVE to win this….even though my waterer is raised it still gets dirt in it from dirty beaks ;-)
