Love your variety of chickens! They look like someofthe happiest chickens!
The Layena pellets should not be mixed with anything. NOTHING. The pellets are a complete balanced diet and you're diluting it with junk food. They DO need oyster shell in a SEPARATE dish, however. Good Luck, Laci! Thank you for being apart of the giveaway.
Good Luck, Danielle!
Curious, what type feed do you supplement your chicks with?
I have been giving mine a 50 lb. bag of Layena pellets mixed with 10 lbs of Dumor cracked corn and 10 lbs of Dumor scratch. I add in 2 lbs of Dumor oyster shell and 2 lbs. of Dumor grit. My pullets seem happy with it and their eggs are awesome. I try to give them daily chickweed and other greens for added vitamins. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
