Here in Northern Connecticut, we have had an unusually snow-free winter, for which my flock and I are tremendously grateful. What a great idea for keeping the girls warm and cozy!
Frightening.
I was taking care of a friend’s chickens while he was in the hospital, and I went there one afternoon, and his heat lamp had fallen on the coop floor. It had already scorched a ring in the wood. I’m afraid to think what might have happened if I had been a few minutes later getting there. We didn’t heat our coop this year, but would love to have a safe heater.
This sounds like the perfect item to keep the chill off my roosters comb!!
What a good way to spoil my girls even more!
