I can’t recall a time when autumn colors remained on the trees as long as they have this year. I took full advantage of the opportunity to get out there and take some photos. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites this week. Happy Halloween!

I am very sorry to hear it, Melissa. The only way to know for sure what happened is to get a necropsy. I strongly encourage you to do that. This article contains the resources and contact info you would need to do that: https://the-chicken-chick.com/2013/07/5-ways-to-prepare-for-chicken-illness.html

Question… my husband and I have a small backyard flock and recently our first egglayer suddenly passed away. She is a lacy wyandotte and we just got her in April. She has been laying about a month and showed no signs of illness. This evening when the hens returned to their coop my husband went to lock them up safely and she was just laying there. What in the world could have happened? Any help is very appreciated!
